A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise said, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped address under the exact same domain name, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital if you are running a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to receive only authentic emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox with ease in case you’ve got a website hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet really intuitive, and it will enable you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with just a few mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve got will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and next to each of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking on it twice will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have another one with this feature enabled or if you have active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
A catch-all address can be created with a couple of mouse clicks if you have a semi-dedicated package with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses under any domain name hosted there. To enable the catch-all feature for a particular mailbox, you’ll need to click the button with the same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Deactivating this feature can be done in the very same way and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a given domain name, you will get a notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never deactivate or edit anything automatically.
